| this is a very sad era in sports. between barry bonds, marion jones, and floyd landis (and the myriad of other cyclists who got kicked out of the tour this year), no one can be trusted in the case of doping. yes, atheletes say that the reason they go to doping is because the pressure is so great to perform well and win, it still is showing a lack of integrity to revert to cheating.
when kids are looking up to you, the winner of the tour, the winner of 4 gold, 2 silver and a few bronze medals, and the breaker of the home run record, are all accused (and in two of the three cases, certain) that they cheated to win, it sets a poor example. "johnny, if you can't win on your own, feel free to do whatever it takes, including cheating, because thats what the pros do!"
